Tense Log: Gallery
MTBTopos
This site uses a modified version of the Memories theme. A simple plug-in allows visitors to switch between the same page in two different logs—one in English, one in German. The site also uses a matching Tense Index template, as well as custom pages that integrate Google Maps.
Andy Wagner
This site uses a custom template. The shows and reviews are stored in a single log that’s shared by all of Tense Forms. This way each site can simply subscribe to a category that contains only the shows that band is playing at, while the main site can show everything.
Midwest Nest Fest
This site uses the Grace template included with Tense Log, and a custom color scheme.
Geek Week
This site uses custom templates and a custom video podcast feed. A custom plugin was created to display the “other downloads” section, so that only the URLs are stored in each entry, and the actual HTML is generated by the plug-in. This makes the entries easier to update, and allows for easier changes to the entire site.
Tense Code
The very site you’re looking at was created entirely in Tense Log, using six custom templates. Two general templates for most pages, one to display the lists of tags in the template references, one to display details about each tag, one for the update histories, and one for this gallery. A custom RSS feed is also used for updates.
Nora McComiskey
This site uses the Grace template, altered to show smaller thumbnail images. Note the copyright notice below each enlarged photograph, which was easily added to the template.
Craig Blakeman
This site uses the Default template included with Tense Log, with custom fonts and a custom color scheme.
The Notes and Scratches
This site uses a custom template. The shows and reviews are stored in a single log that’s shared by all of Tense Forms. This way each site can simply subscribe to a category that contains only the shows that band is playing at, while the main site can show everything.
Domenico
This site uses the Default template included with Tense Log, with a custom color scheme.
The Clutter Corner
This site uses a number of custom Tense Log templates for the main page, the Monocle Chronicle, the Telegraph Series, the SILVER Measure, and the JunkDrawer. Compliant uses the Grace template with custom colors.
Kirk Bravender
This site uses the Default template included with Tense Log, and a custom color scheme.
Stock Yard Films
This site was created entirely in Flash, using a simple PHP script to send data from Tense Log to Flash. The news section even displays images uploaded with Tense Log inside of Flash. The text-only version of the site makes it fully accessible and indexable by search engines. With Tense Log the content can be edited in one place and both versions are automatically updated.
Tense Forms Showcase Series
This site uses a series of custom templates that are created for each showcase.
Tiny Forest
The Log section of this site uses a custom template. Many of the other pages use PHP to display content from Tense Log.
Tense Forms
This site uses a number of different logs to display a calendar of shows, reviews, and updates. These logs are shared by all of Tense Forms, so each band site can simply subscribe to a category that contains only the shows that band is playing at, while the main site can show everything.
backfired.net
This site uses a significantly modified version of the Grace theme. The Flickr badge was simply pasted into the template. A simple script added to the top of the page displays a random image out of a dozen choices, each time a new page is loaded.
Mike Piontek
This site uses a custom template for the Journal section, and the Gravatar plug-in included with Tense Log to show custom icons for each person that comments. In the sidebar the AudioScrobbler plug-in displays recently played songs complete with album art, all automatically.
The Treatment
This site uses a custom template. The shows and reviews are stored in a single log that’s shared by all of Tense Forms. This way each site can simply subscribe to a category that contains only the shows that band is playing at, while the main site can show everything.
Casey Meehan
Done entirely in Flash, this site uses Tense Log to manage the music section, show listing, reviews, and other info. The text-only version of the site makes it fully accessible and indexable by search engines. With Tense Log the content can be edited in one place and both versions are automatically updated.
Muted Tones
This site uses several custom themes—one for each volume of the series. Each curator is given their own account and they can all log in to contribute to a single site.
The Autumn-Waking
This is an older site that uses PHP to display content from Tense Log, rather than a custom template.
